  • David Lepofsky from the AODA Alliance discusses Ontario’s new vaccine passport system and explains some possible barriers for people with disabilities
  • Susan Torosian from Elections Canada describes voting methods and accessible services and features available at this year’s federal election 
    • Elections Canada is offering assistance for marking your ballot, signature guides, large print, braille lists, tactile and braille voting templates, and magnifiers with a light 
      • They are also offereing ASL interpretation, large grip pencils, and a voting screen that allow more light at some accessible pollin stations

      • You are also encouraged to contact 1-800-463-6868 or 1-800-361-8935 (TTY) to learn more about the accessibility of your local polling station and for further inquiries relating to your voting method or ballots. Some services are available at advance polls and others are only available on election day 
    • The deadline to apply online for a mail-in vote, is September 14 at 6 p.m. ET 
    • The federal election takes place on September 20, 2021
